Liliana Bakayoko is both a theoretician and a legal practitioner, and she is qualified in both French and Bulgarian law.

She has completed a full university course at the University Panthéon-Assas (Paris II), where she defended her doctoral thesis The Legal Commitment (L’engagement en droit) and obtained her PhD, in 2003. She also received a post-master’s degree in Bulgarian law, at the Sofia University St Kliment Ohridski.

In 2003, Liliana Bakayoko obtained the Professional Lawyer’s Certificate from the School of Professional Training of the Bars of the Paris Court of Appeal (École de Formation professionnelle des Barreaux de la cour d’appel de Paris (EFB)). In 2010, she obtained the Certificate of Legal Capacity in Bulgaria. In 2011, Liliana Bakayoko has founded her own law firm, in Sofia. The law firm brings legal assistance mainly to companies and French-speaking, English-speaking and Bulgarian-Speaking private clients, combining a high level of professionalism with a human-based approach and a deep knowledge of both French and Bulgarian cultures.

Liliana Bakayoko is bilingual in French and Bulgarian, and she is fluent in English. She possesses triple professional experience, acquired both in France and in Bulgaria: in addition to exercising her attorney’s profession (at the Paris Bar and the Sofia Bar), she has taught law for ten years at higher education institutions in Paris, in both French and English languages. She is the author of The Legal Commitment (Individuation and the Civil Code in the 21st Century) (L’engagement en droit (L’individuation et le Code civil au XXI ème  siècle)), published by Éditions Publibook Université (Paris, France).

Liliana Bakayoko is a member of the French-Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and of French-Speaking International Lawyers. She works in cooperation with many lawyers, some of whom are established in Bulgaria, and others – in France.
